To determine BlackBerry is “unlocked” or “locked” for use on carriers other than for which it is branded:

1. Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Sim Card.
2. Type “MEPD” (without quotes, off course, for Sure Type keyboard, please type MEPPD to get P)
3. See Network status, if the status is “Inactive”, Congratulation !, your Blackberry is unlocked and can be used for other operators.
